Tea Tree Oils Can Be Used To Treat Boils:

Boils can be defined as an abscess on the skin that originally develops in a sweat gland or hair follicle. Puss like substance generally accumulates within the boil which ultimately forms a painful red lump. If this lump on the skin is left untreated, it might develop ahead of and rupture. The hairline and the face are common locations for boils.

Locations, where the hair is able to grow back into the skin, are also prone to boils. Women who are into regular waxing jobs also seem to be more prone to having boils. For the prevention of this ugly and troubling skin condition, it is important to exfoliate the skin effectively on a regular basis. This can be done by using good quality skin scrub. However, if this condition is repetitive then you might have to consider other natural treatments.

When boils occur, the skin found around the infectious area turns red with a lump forming in the same area. Post growing for a span of four to seven days within the skin, the lump turns white and there is pus collected within it. This infection can even spread to the deeper tissues sometimes resulting in abscess or furuncle. Boils can be seen on the neck, face, armpits, thighs, buttocks, and shoulders. A boil cluster is called carbuncle and it can be even more painful. Whatever the kind of boil you might have on your skin, treatment with tea tree oils can heal your boils faster and stop them from spreading to the other areas of the body.

How Does Tea Tree Oil Heal Boils?

As is suggested by the name, tea tree oil is generally made of the leaves of the tea tree. Nevertheless, these trees that are found in Australia are not similar to the trees that offer green and black teas in India, Sri Lanka, and China. This oil is effective in killing several strains of fungi, viruses, and bacteria. Hence, the use of this oil is quite wide-ranging. It can be used for killing molds, treating viral infections, and healing different skin conditions. The topical application of this oil on the skin helps in treating skin infections like fungal nail infection, acne, scabies, head lice, ringworm, and boils.

This oil is also widely used in the form of an antiseptic on burns, stings, cuts, and insect bites. It is also used for treating bronchitis, cough, and various other pulmonary problems by simply adding it to bathwater. Considering a large number of benefits that can be reaped from the use of tea tree oil, you must always have it in your medicine cabinet for healing almost all conditions that need antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic properties in treatment.

So, how do you use tea tree oils for treating boils?

Apply the mixture directly on your boil and do this at least three to four times during the day for the best results. The combination of oregano oil and tea tree oil best deals with the most difficult strains of bacteria like MRSA.

Conclusion

Just like the above oil blends, tea tree oil can also be mixed with Aloe vera and various other natural oils for treating boils in the most effective manner.

I use tea tree oil on my breakouts and it works great, much better than any medication or face wash I’ve ever tried. Tea tree oil is a natural antibacterial agent as well as a natural astringent, so it sucks up excess oil on the skin and kills any bacteria in the pimple, helping it heal up faster. Don’t let the word “oil” in the name throw you off – it’s not going to make the greasiness on your face worse, it will actually help improve it. I would suggest the line of tea tree oil face products from The Body Shop. They’re designed for normal to oily skin and are really effective in gently clearing up acne-prone skin using natural tea tree oil.
